Why use gold or silver heat-reflective tape?
Our heat reflective tapes are the perfect solution for reflecting radiant heat away from you and the vital components of your vehicle.
A common use for heat reflective tape is to wrap your intake pipework. As your engine bay heats up, that heat will transfer to your intake system and raise your IATs. By covering that intake pipework with our tape, up to 80% of all that radiant heat will be reflected away, keeping your intake temperatures low and allowing your engine to make as much power as possible!
Another great use of this is on bulkheads and transmission/exhaust tunnels. Winning a race requires great concentration from the driver, so reflecting the heat away from the cab will aid in keeping the driver comfortable so they can focus on the job at hand.
Our heat reflective tapes are so effective due to their laminated glass cloth construction designed to withstand temperatures of up to 1100°C while handling a constant temperature of 450°C.
Our heat reflecting tapes use a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing, which is easy to work with and provides a long-lasting hold.
We offer our gold and silver heat-reflective products on rolls of tape or sheets, ensuring easy installation on bigger areas like bulkheads or fiddly jobs like intake pipework. Both variations are highly conformable and require minimal clearance, guaranteeing protection against heat, even in the tightest of spaces.
Proper heat management can be the difference between winning and losing, and our tried and tested heat reflective products are durable, lightweight, and practical enough to make a difference and take you to victory.

Heat Reflective Tape Installation Guide:
Installing our heat reflective tape is nice and easy. By following our step-by-step guide below, you will have all the information needed for installation:
- The first step is to thoroughly clean any surface you plan on applying the tape to; keeping the surrounding area clean is also a great idea to avoid contamination during installation. An excellent product for cleaning is isopropanol alcohol, as it will remove most oily residues that could affect the adhesive backing.
- Installing tape in strips instead of trying to wind it on is recommended. With the backing still on the tape, figure out how long the strip needs to be, and cut to length using scissors or any sharp, bladed tool.
- Peel the back paper off to reveal the adhesive glue. In some situations, removing just the end of the backing paper may be better.
- Line up your strip of tape ready to be placed, and start from one end, applying pressure with your hand, a roller or a wrapping squeegee as you begin to stick it down.
- Once applied, it's a good idea to apply pressure to strip again to ensure it's adhered to the surface properly.
- If you need to clean the heat reflective tape once installed, use a glass or all-purpose cleaner and wipe with a clean cloth.

Frequently asked questions:
What is better, gold or silver?
The difference of how effective our heat reflective tapes are by colour is marginal! We offer different colours as style is important too.
Notes:
- Rated at 850°F/450°C continuous, but can handle intermittent spikes of 2000°F/1100°C
- Avoid using tar and glue removing sprays near this product, as it could cause the glue to dissolve on heat reflective tapes.
- Do not try to install on porous surfaces, such as powdercoated intakes as the glue has been designed to be installed on non-porous surfaces, such as bare aluminium or stainless.
